With a background spanning technical writing, media instruction, and digital content management, I bring more than 20 years of experience refining complex information into content that is clear, precise and actionable.

I have worked with subject-matter experts across industries to translate technical, financial and programmatic material into accessible content for defined audiences.

In addition to professional roles, I have taught media writing at the university level, focusing on core journalistic principles including sourcing, fact-checking and audience-centered communication.

I actively follow business, economic, and news media across industries, with particular interest in how data informs decision-making. I subscribe to the Omaha World-Herald, The Washington Post, Nebraska Examiner, Flatwater Free Press, Silicon Prairie News, The Motley Fool, The Conversation, Peter G. Peterson Foundation, Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists and various blogs. In addition, I recently completed training with the Nebraska Journalism Trust and joined the Documenters.org network of newsrooms and community organizations committed to participatory civic media.
